I respectfully disagree MM. There will be a large number of holders who, whether they contribute on this forum or not, will be reading the comments to decide whether or not and how much to contribute to the SPP.
If all they see is negativity then they'll be much more inclined to not participate or reduce the amount they contribute. If they see a reasonable chance of a successful CR then they're much more likely to participate.
I can tell you that when I first saw the SPP, I felt somewhat deflated by another CR, but I was still thinking that I'd contribute the maximum that I could, largely because I see it as the only chance of recovering any of my already significant investment in this company - even if QVT do end up buying us out. However, having read all the negativity being spouted on here, I'm now having second thoughts because it's sounding like no-one else is going to bother. I'm quite sure I can't be the only one thinking this way.
Perhaps you're right that it's being managed by a higher power, but I can't see anything more self-defeating than actively discouraging investors from contributing what this company needs most, which is a significant injection of cash. Anyone who's doing that needs their head read imo - especially when the revenue guidance for this year will take us so close to being cash flow positive.
