Battery Materials Exchange. PLS created their own eBay store for their spodumene (which is surprisingly innovative for mining). It enabled price discovery, where traditionally contracts were only arranged between two parties, the auction allowed everyone to see what the other buyer was willing to pay.
Long story short, it blew the lid off the sector and set the price of lithium on a stella ride from $500 tonne to now over $6,000. The whole lithium sector owe's PLS a massive amount of gratitude.
