After reading through various historical research papers on the geological characteristics of the Greenbushes Lithium bearing pegmatites this afternoon, I thought I would post a few quick notes for those who may not be aware (Full articles are at the bottom if anyone is interested in light reading).

The Donnybrook shear zone (Historical Fault marked in Black in the image below) contains remarkable geology, consisting of mineralised ancient rocks that have been mined for its mineralogy for well over a 100 years now (Tin + Lithium + other related metals)

Galans recent soil and rock chip results were particularly interesting as the results from E70/4790 clearly indicate that anomalies of trace metal elements are elevated within or very near the fault line (Which is what you would expect and aligns with historical results from the Greenbushes mine itself)

In the below image I have highlighted two key points:
    1) The Blue Tenement E70/4889 which is North of where the recent soil sampling was completed, is still awaiting approval by the Department of Mines (DMIRS). Once Approved, this is a critically important tenement for future exploration works IMO
    2) I have drawn very roughly a Light Blue rectangle below which I have termed "The Honey Pot". This rectangle follows the fault line and is 99.99999% the area where our future geophysical efforts should focus (This is where the High Grade Lithium Bearing Pegmatites will be)

Over the coming weeks / months ahead I am looking forward to Management hopefully obtaining approval for E70/4889 from the Department if they accept our Conservation Management Plan (This area is a Protected State Forrest after all) and secondly, reading the results from the recently completed aerial radiometric and magnetic geophysical survey.

I cannot wait for Galan to obtain approval towards the end of this year to stick 1 or 2 drill rigs within the Honey Pot Zone below, there is no doubt what lies beneath the surface along the fault line IMO wink.png
