As a popular poster with some business wits about them told me, think of this analogy - If you had a piece of land and you wanted to sell it to a developer, just the land as is, would you be happy to sell the piece of land only to get the value of just that piece of land. Or would you want to get all the necessary approvals for the land, such as development approval (DA) and other necessary approvals, which tells the developer exactly what can be built on the land, which is exactly what the developer/s are looking for, which than adds considerable more value as developers would have to do very little to the land and start building immediately, therefore causing a bidding war.
I and likely others, see that Dr Stamler is going for the land with development approval, to significantly raise the price of the land, and where a company has very little work to do to get money rolling, so a silver platter to big pharma.
Overall I am not concerned.
If the company is worth $10b now or $10b after, and before or after possible consolidation, we are all still going to be paid handsomely if its a cash option take over.
I predict data to drop in the last week of April or first week of May just before the assumed MSA meeting from 9th May, if this is the meeting Dr Stamler is alluding to that data will be compiled prior to next scientific meeting.
