BKY clearly spend a lot more on promotion hence the valuation difference with it worth about 3-4 times more than BOE. They are better than BOE at this.
Ian Middlemass has a track record prettying these assets up for sale which I think is what he's doing here. Big volumes hence lower cost albeit I would guess a lot of the pre strip in BKY is capitalized rather than in OPEX. Look at his last play Mantra which he sold to the Russians - still hasn't been developed.
Having said that Mark Hohnen sold his last play Kalahari to the Chinese and stayed on to develop it. Will he do it again with BOE?
