This data doesn't say much, I'm afraid. Tenofovir leads to 100% suppression of HBV, and even useless old lamivudine which we no longer use because of its low efficacy would suppress the virus by 99.999%. In a virus which can produce viral loads of >10,000,000,000 viruses per ml, every decimal point counts. To be effective as a CURE of HBV, any treatment must inactive or ELIMINATE cccDNA. So this announcement is not going to attract any big farmer on its own. MUCH more work required.
