@Names little – I was getting a very high reading on the insecurity index this morning.
But, we probably also need another index for days like these – probably "superiority index, arrogance index" or something of the sort.
@jowahsen – since you brought about gold stocks, there was one gold stock which around 1 year back was around 7-8 cents. It touched AUD 1.35 today and closed at 1.33. This is why I believe that market is always wrong. I can give plenty of other examples where the market horribly mispriced some of the gold stocks last year, and is starting to slowly re-price them. The best for gold IMO is yet to come in the coming years. Hoping for such sanity to return to TON in time.
Few thoughts on today

Proactive have given their nice analysis again at the end.

2) Today’s announcement on our jumbo flake projects
Once more, a quick reminder on our main projects – Nicanda, Ancuabe, China JV and Moz JV. Our Nicanda graphite has the world’s largest graphite deposit. P66 is a new jumbo flake zone identified s short while back, within Nicanda and can hence be considered a separate project, in some ways.
So today’s announcement was on our jumbo flake projects of Nicanda P66 and Ancuabe.

Some very well expressed thoughts by
@Rat1973 there. I was little disappointed to see him with a “not held” disclosure but he just clarified that he does indeed hold – (was really worried for a minute that the boat party was called off there Rat
)
Fully agree with Rat that TON must give importance to DFS, and companies without DFS might regret later on. I do however feel that once DFS is out, the share price could be much higher and hence
buying well back before the DFS is ideally much better for traders (buy the rumour and sell the fact) and investors (confirmation that TON is going on to bigger things) alike
Agree with Rat again on TON’s share register which obviously needs some investors on board. Hence, for that reason I’ve been stressing from long that
TON needs to sell itself to instos or it will just become a traders’ plaything, detached from fundamentals (as it has become since long). As Rat rightly points out, SYR shows the importance of insto support.
TON really needs to see where it falls short in its investor relations (if at all) with instos because I cannot think of a logical reason based on fundamentals.
4) Nicanda P66
“- confirms the substantial presence of large liberated flake graphite particles
- readily liberated by crushing, grinding, rougher and cleaner flotation, with no additional regrind required
- Flotation tests confirm that 53% of the discrete mass graphite particles are larger than 150μm (+100 mesh)
- A concentrate grade of 96.1%TGC achieved at a recovery of 97.4% with a head grade of 11%TGC.
- Triton is aiming to obtain similar purity levels to those recently achieved with Nicanda Hill, that being in excess of 99%TGC, without the use of acid leaching.” – from ann
My comments – Pretty straight forward. Lots of jumbo flake, good purity, good head grade, and there
is going to be further optimization. A great addition to our existing world's largest graphite deposit
5) Ancuabe
“Due to the high customer demand for samples of Triton’s Ancuabe graphite concentrate, a trial bulk production cycle was initiated at Mintek in Johannesburg” – from ann.
“These exceptional results demonstrate the high quality of the Ancuabe graphite and concentrate samples are currently being despatched to several parties across the globe that have expressed interest in testing the material”. – from ann.
My comments – Good to see that a lot of customers and interested parties
across the globe are demanding samples. Obviously early days still.
“During this production cycle an
average grade of 98.2%TGC was achieved with a
metallurgical recovery of 97%.
My comments- Good purity again
“The Company found that over 85% of the graphite particle sizes were larger than 150μm (+100 mesh) (Figure 2) and the majority were in excess of 300μm (+50 mesh).”
My comments – Very good proportion of large flake
6) Conclusions
Jumbo flake, good proportion of jumbo flake, good purity, good grade - all we want to hear
Not much to complain about really.
For me especially, it was just the world’s largest deposit at Nicanda which originally attracted me to TON. So for me, P66 and Ancuabe is just a massive bonus.
Proactive have again mentioned in their concluding analysis in many different ways as to how TON can supply a whole variety of customers and be a one stop shop.
As Proactive says - The metallurgical progress also reinforces recent broker analysis finding Triton shares to be worth more than three times their current value.Triton has done more than enough to justify a much higher valuation - so I won't talk about that again.
The issues for me from the start have always been broader macro issues, funding and insto support and these are still the same. But TON through all the recent announcements has shown that DFS is a probably going to be a formality which should help with the funding and insto support in time. Nevertheless, TON will have to keep working hard on that.
