I've had my SMSF for over 20 years. Originally set up cheaply through Rollsuper but they have been taken over many times over (four I think). The current mob is in Melbourne (I'm in Sydney) and they charge a set fee for tax return and audit (ca. $2400/year). Very happy with their service and attention. Be aware that there is a lot of paperwork come tax time but its actually instructive to work through it and see what you have done over the past 12 months. You really need 250K plus to make the fees equate with a good industry or private fund. If you have the time is actual fun.
