I am afraid your prediction for MSB cash balance is a little bit too optimistic.

As of 31 December 2016, MSB had US$33.9m.

Early in January, MNK handed over US$21.7m for a 5% stake.

Latest Appendix 4C indicated that cash outgoings in Q3 is expected to be US$26.8m.

Using all of the above figures, we can calculate what MSB's expected cash balance on 31 March 2017 will be.

33.9 + 21.7 - 26.8 = US$28.8m

In other words, in 6 weeks time, without a new partnership deal, MSB will have less money than what it had back on 31 December 2016.

A further 3 months later, if the rate of cash consumption doesn't decrease, its cash will be pretty much gone.

All of these announcements about trials results are too difficult for me to understand. Reading it certainly gives me the impression that it's all good news. Because I realise that I don't have the skills to analyse and understand these results, I have no choice but to use announcement of new partnership or lack of announcement to guide me whether or not these results are indeed promising.
