I'd need to do a bit more research on SSC history, but based on what I've read so far I'd guess SSC is about half way through that process. Based on that, and I am only speculating without more research, we may see a result perhaps 3 - 6 months from submission of application (ie: approval with conditions, approval subject to X or rejection).
The main problem is dealing with government departments. While legislation often places timeframes for responses, quite often they are ignored, and sometimes you just end up with some random bureaucrat who won't budge on a silly condition.
