I suspect that it is fair to say that the news is good - but not as overwhelmingly brilliant as was forecast by BIT. Market reaction reflects that to a large extent. BIT seems a little disappointed to be honest - good results but maybe not beyond what was suspected as a neutral set of results.
I am a bit concerned that the COVID results have been withheld - they should require far less analysis and would have less complexity.
COVID is very crowded and maybe those results did not eventuate in a superior treatment.
Results should be good enough to warrant a phase 3 trial for the HIV efforts - will it be good enough to attract a third party though?
In any case, a CR will be required sometime this year and BIT will have some time to seek out a partner - if one is to make itself available.
