This 2016 metaanalysis combines 355 patients with locally advanced pancreatic cancer and the median overall survival of the pooled data was found to be 24·2 months. The confidence interval computed around this estimate tells us that can be 95% certain that the true average OS of the population lies between 21.7 and 26.8 months (95% CI 21·7-26·8). So OS of 16 months is not impressive.
