IV administration & efficacy:

The Elephant in the room - well, in this case, the pig in the room

I am VERY interested in the pig skin results included in this announcement. They include IV administration so I have to assume it was on a live pig with skin infected with MRSA ? Has there been a separate announcement of this trial ?

From the recent human trials,tThere has been a LOT of talk about the short time RECCE stays in the blood serum, it's quick exit of RECCE to the bladder & thus the 'new' IV trials for UTI's

HOWEVER these results, see below, show IV administration making a BIG - in fact the biggest hit, log 3.04 +- 1.20 - on MRSA in 1 hour & only just less than the gel in 24 hours !! IN fact when you take the +/- into account, about the same i.e around log 5.0

There are unfortunately not figures on IV infusion amounts or rates included so it is hard to compare with the recent human trials, as we cannot cross reference the pig trial amounts & infusion rates, with the human trials & thus guess at the blood serum levels.

Does anyone know the details of this pig gel/IV trial or can they point me at results, as I do not remember seeing this pig trial / results announced ? I doubt they have been released as they include trials with this 'Gel' formulation, which as many have mentioned, has not been mentioned before.

I am approx $306.000 sure someone knows about these results, amongst others - As they say 'follow the money'
