figure of speech I'll use the term "dark arts" at play. as far as identifying who- I'll let someone else do that but it's certainly a pattern. the same dark art pattern in principle as building sell walls to prevent a climb or a coordinated effort to cap a rise, before forcing it down to where they want it (usually to a frustrated sideways bubble forcing people to lose patience) something we sadly see time and time again. no need to panic here.
