Thing is, the US is where money is made. Just ask any band, car manufacturer or speculative med tech company.
This is probably oversold - there's always an overshoot on this sort of announcement. But at some point every investor will need to ask themselves whether they believe that this technology will ever be accurate enough to fulfil its mandate in the US. That's the market which matters. That's the market which the inflated share price is based on.
