Even though 3% is claimed to be statistically significant, you probably only need one very cold day to wipe that off the pig's tissues through it's higher metabolic rate.
If a salesman came to Percy the Pig Farmer, promising an extra 3% in weight, at a cost, He would probably throw him in the slops.
You would want at least a 10% advantage, depending on the extra cost of the feed.
Underwhelming is what I thought and the market obviously agrees.
