It's all about cost benefit turps.
I think we probably would have liked to have seen around 5% but 3% could be viable IMO, when you are talking about thousands of pigs.
Pleasingly the difference was statistically significant and linear, so maybe higher doses could continue the trend, but again only if the cost benefit remains.
The unforeseen health events is disappointing but seen across all groups. One wonders when this took effect and whether it may have started towards the end of phase 1 possibly impacting on this result or whether it solely hit during phase 2.
As with everything it's not whether we like the results but whether potential partners do.
