Don't think they intend this to be the "show and tell" chip, even if it's good.

I think this announcement is absolutely banging! Incredible.

But:
"The results from the analysis of the Second Platform Lot are expected to pave the way for 4DS and its partners
to pursue their strategic objective of fabricating wafers with chips that operate as fully functional megabit
memories, and which have been produced using state of the art industry fab equipment."

'Paving the way to fabricating wafers' doesn't sound like "the second platform lot will be the one" it sounds like "if the second platform lot is good, it'll really pave the whole road to fabricating the final, fully-functioning, wowzer megabit memories"

Sounds like regardless, they still plan to do at least one more run after platform lot two, just as the "real deal" one with absolutely everything proved in it. Maybe even let WD do it on their equipment? They say partners not imec...

But anyway... Another few months of pure speculation for us all!

Great announcement though. Very confident.
