This is the second lot of wafers where the word "retention" has been mentioned. This time in relation to commercial in confidence discussions, last time in relation to "tuning the retention".
Now, surely if its NVM its purpose is to retain state when turned off? You put a 1 in, you get a 1 back.
This is fundamental to the concept of Non-Volatile Memory (NVM). Otherwise by definition the memory is Volatile or semi-Volatile (will run for a while without charge but eventually loses state).
Someone want to clarify why this is even being mentioned by 4DS. Surely retention is a given?
