Points out need to distinguish Type II tumours (more likely to cause death) rather than Type I. So there's obviously more subtleties to the test that would need exploring.
Importantly the article says "Due to the low prevalence of ovarian cancer, the ideal screening test must have a sensitivity above
75% and a specificity of at least 99.6%"
I'm not a medical expert but seems the result announced today is a little disappointing? Hopefully the other forthcoming announcements will generate more optimism.
