For the same reason this won't get off the the ground with the current resource - it costs too much to develop with no price buffer built in for a drop and not enough resource to make extraction worth the squeeze. If what you're saying was remotely accurate every marginal gold discovery on the planet would currently be in development.
I want NXM to succeed because I'm holding - they just need more gold.
