It is proven technology, although it can only applied to Vulcan's project whilst they claim it has been proven in projects that you claim do not meet the requirements to use the technology.
Lilac and seed capital spending billionaires (they makes hundreds of those investments every year, in the trust a few of them hit - not that Bill Gates really cares) chose to apply it also to a resource that does not meet the requirements
Now the posterchilds of DLE are Buffett and Gates, but Vulcan mentions LIvent where you claim the process doesn't work, and two opague Chinese producers.
There is a lot of effort and interest in making DLE work, maybe it will, maybe it won't. It needs to be proven, and currently it isn't. I just take offense with management and a certain consultant misrepresenting the status of this. And if they think they are so unique, why would they need to? They should be honest that they are trying to do something that hasn't been done yet, rather than suggesting the process is minor detail, and then referring to projects that you point out cannot use the technique succesfully
I know we live in a marketing world, but that is just a crazy loop.
If DLE would work on scale, it would be great, it would push down price for feedstock all the way down, and drive down the cost of batteries for good of us all, but I remain of the opinion that the money will eventually be made by the companies that have the IP and/or the chemical expertise.
I would love to read something on that in Vulcan's promotionals.
