Pretty sure they could get some interest if you read the following passage.
"As doctors began treating Covid-19 patients in early 2020, they observed that some patients developed inflammation in their lungs that became so devastating that it could lead to death. British researchers began randomized clinical trials of anti-inflammatory drugs to see if any of them could save lives." That's how Dexamethasone was found to have an effect.
I'm betting that some researchers would be interested in taking this forward, huge funding and resources available for covid related research and possible treatments. Maybe could partner with a university like many Bio Companies.
