Honest question here: why would you want a scientist as a CEO?
I’m work in the sector, and from my experience in both small and large biotech it’s not particularly common to have a “scientist” (from your definition) as a CEO. Certainly someone who understand the science well enough, and 100% with the support of an expert as their CSO.
I‘d say in terms of general attributes/experience for a CEO (not specifically referring to DXB here), having someone PHD qualified who also understands IP and business is a pretty desirable combination.
