I am hoping Hoctief doesn’t reach 96% at all.
The likely scenario is the takeover offer will be extended. Hoctief can extend the offer up to the last minute on Monday. If you just look at the numbers, if Hoctief reaches 94% and decides to close the offer, Cimic shares will remain listed for at least 1 more year.
Now that Hoctief bought so much Cimic shares at bargain prices, Hoctief can now afford to be generous to gain 100% of Cimic. So, I will receive dividends plus a new improved offer in 12 months time. But you have to make up your own decision. This is a takeover game and you have to play the game wisely.
