Changes of meetings is allowed per the PLV constitution.
Referencing the constitution of PLV does not provide any guidance regarding timelines for reholding the meeting.
The constitution refers to compliance with the Corps Act. which does not include legislation on deferred meetings.
I'm not a Corps Act lawyer, but to me that means a new meeting notice should be issued with the 28 day notice period, otherwise as previously stated this is open to manipulation.
Bad news can be very easily swept under the carpet when a meeting is scheduled giving short notice.
If you take the PLV constitution at face value the meeting could be reheld in 40 mins after a notice is sent to the ASX, just like it was 'postponed' this morning with 40 minutes notice.
I'm a little annoyed at the late notice to postpone the meeting, but i would be more annoyed if PLV shareholders receive anything less than 28 days notice again.
