Yes that's what GTE has been saying. The significance hasn't twigged yet in the broader market.
To quote from the GTE November 2015 Exploration Update;
"• Historical drilling confirms mafic/ultramafic sequences containing traces of nickel sulphides similar to the rocks that host major nickel deposits including Honeymoon Well, Cosmos, and Perseverance.
• Drilling completed by GTE intersected gold bearing shear zone at the Finlayson prospect demonstrating the potential for a significant gold discovery located just 55km along strike of the Wiluna gold mine (~5 million ounces)."
That may be the Boulder-Lefroy shear zone trending NNW under cover and passing through Wiluna. Finlayson and Plutonic and defining the western boundary of the Kalgoorlie Terraine.
Could you please share the source of the article?
Interesting that it refers to "plutonic dominated magmatism". Plutonic rocks form when the magmatism cools and solidifies below earth.
Early days yet with Dixon and it may not be as good as hoped for, however the AUS threads are beaming with excitement and the posters are very iwell nformed. Its fun to follow.
