The bonanza grade hit announced today is much more significant than a random hit because it is located in a hanging wall.
A hanging wall is directly above a fault, in this case almost certainly a fault splay running off the main Youanmi fault hosting the Deeps and significant gold resources.
Fault spays were literally conduits for liquid gold and they control gold mineralisation at Youanmi.
Most of the gold mineralisation at Youanmi is hosted within splays off the north-northeast trending Youanmi Fault.
So Rox has found another gold rich fault splay, a rare and exciting discovery. It could be a very big find indeed and almost certainly today's hit will not be an isolated one.
On the downside, it is deep enough to be partly refractory but metallurgic testing is needed to determine that and how it could be processed. Alex has been confident that most if not all Youanmi Deeps ore (much deeper than this discovery) can be milled through ultrafine milling and then fed into a conventional plant.
