This is where i can help.
my company makes flow control valves for mine and oil well sites.my valves filter out most of the impurities from brackish water before it gets used.also by controling the flow even at low pressure, the flow of clean water to the head of the mine can be maintained at a consistent level.
the numbers specified in the dls are pretty normal.
