I think the futures decline today was linked to the auction result. They backsolved what this $1200 spod represents Ito a carbonate price and it was lower than the then price of cny120000 for 2014q4 futures. So was there not a way that PLS could have sold this spod on the futures market at a higher price? Why did they accept a lower price than what the futures market were trading at? I know they do not produce carbonate, but was there not a way in which they could have profit shared with a converter and obtain a higher price? Just thinking out loud.
