If you want to talk about coning let's also talk about exclusion areas! Someone on RWD thread tried to tell me that it doesn't matter that half the resource is included in an exclusion zone because it's liquid and it will just miraculously flow to the trench/well bore no matter how far away. I thought it was you but I'll give you credit for not being that dumb.

"Extraploation is extrapolation irrespective of trench length"....not really. If you extrapolate a 13metre trench out to 1,000m you're going to get some wild results (or maybe not! (low confidence results is a better term)). If you extrapolate 200m the results will be closer to reality. It's pretty simple....as a sample size grows it gets closer to representing the population. Longer trenches + more pumping time + putting them where you intend the real ones to go (and not on top of where you're talking about putting an evaporation pond) = reliable results.
