Firstly RWD explicitly say they approached the State Gov (years ago) and got an opinion as you have seen.
Secondly, Euroz in Sept 2017 report on AMN, estimate that royalties will be US$27/T (Gov & TO).
I guess the thinking is that salt is sea water less the water with no processing. SOP requires significant processing and is high value. Iron ore v gold?
Everyone would like 73 cents but the reality is the AMN operating costs might be out by around A$27.
As for the presentations it is clear that RWD is out to raise it's profile (recent interview in PayDirt). The presentation (from the new CEO) is no doubt framed to answer questions which inevitably will include being grilled from analysts that have some knowledge of peer projects. I expect many analysts/brokers will need educating.
The new CEO at RWD will no doubt be presenting to all the local brokers in the near future. Different chap to Ruane. Has done deals at Deep Yellow.
