but complex geology doesn't stop plant design, pre-mine works, haul road construction, CEP install, long lead ordering, damn construction, training the workforce, or any of the other supporting works which need to be completed, it only determines the pit layouts. There is a hell of a lot that can be done whilst drilling is underway.
I don't think that he was being literal in his words regarding building the plant - I know the feeling (since I do project work exclusively) of starting a new one .... even after 30 years of doing it I still enjoy the run in to a project (it's actually surviving and getting out the other end that is the challenge!). From the engineers perspective, this will be a good one.
