What's that saying about 'It's impossible to get someone to see sense when their job/paypacket etc depends on them not seeing it'?

That applies to the MDs the Boards AND the shareholders of both companies. Neither exec team wants their jobs lost to the other, neither set of investors wants to enjoy 50% of a profitable enterprise, when they might get 100% of a non profitable one.

Going to be interesting to see how it all plays out. Zero sum game. Who will be left with zero, and who will be left with sum? LOL
