I'd be surprised if many of the shares sold today were through Morgans. The old bash the Soph investor is a bit tiresome. You also need to be a client of the broker to get an allocation, so that means paying full-service fees. Swings and roundabouts. And it's only $4m - not big on the scheme of things and they need to get some cash in to get to the next stage.
I'm a soph investor with another broker, and 95% of the time hold on for months or longer on any allocation I get for these types of deals.
I would say the weak hands today are a combination of pip traders and long-suffering holders. I've been in this thing since 2013, and have a fu@ck load of them, so appreciate the temptation to lighten. Today, I've definitely been a hold.
If they tick all the boxes and the funding comes through, it's a stellar deal.
