TBH I don't know off hand, though they were into Nickel (KWG Cromite) so maybe it didn't quite suit on further analysis, but in both cases it wasn't because Cuban prospects lacked potential or enough historical data in order to justify dismissing them.

In fact quite the opposite is true and the foreign investment door to Cuba is well and truly open, albeit with typical bullying by the yanks in keeping certain blockades in place.
