It's fairly easy....take 9 people with very advanced MM.
Give them Kyprolis + SM6.
If you get a partial response (ie; favourable response) in 3 or more patients...recruit some more and happily continue the trial. In the meantime, shareholders may bask in the warm glow of a spike in the SP.
If you get a partial response with 2,1 or 0 patients....don't recruit any more. Stop the trial. Take bat and ball and go home. (Watch the SP drop to almost unmeasurable levels...shareholders may weep a little and swear never again to gamble with speculative bio stocks...)
Those are the only 2 scenarios we have to look forward to, I'm afraid. The phrase "binary outcome" should be muttered about now...
