The report isn't pretty. I have seen many companies get wacked twice this reporting season. Once on their preliminary report and again on their final report. Even though there was no difference in the numbers. Doesn't seem fair, but the market is not into high PE, small cap stocks atm.
Add the fact that it is a small cap in medical device space, exposed to the weaker USD and regular Trump tweets on how he's going to save a bucket in healthcare, and AXP is in the weakest segment of the market I can imagine for the last 3-4 months. Throw in a ridiculously poor CR to boot.
I believe there will be a stock rotation back to these type of growth stocks, now that cyclicals, materials and finance stocks have had a good run. Just have to remain patient and look ahead 1-2 years.
