There is no provision for appeal of international arbitration awards. However, parties are entitled to make an application to the High Court to have the arbitral award set aside on limited grounds. These grounds are set out in the International Arbitration Act and the Model Law  - Article 34(2), UNCITRAL Model Law; section 24, IAA.

There is no availability of judicial review of the merits of a case, because errors of law or fact are not considered to be grounds for setting aside an arbitration award. This means that even if the High Court forms the view that the arbitrator had made a mistake in his/her findings, it is unable to set aside the award on that basis.
