Trail and error .Thats a bit like saying you can change the oil in your car a few more goes and he will be able to do a full engine rebuild I am afraid it is a lot more evolved than that .
There are very few good miners around now because mining is mostly mechanised .
Long hole drills to bore out your stope instead of men and airlegs .
They only problem there is you want to high grade the dirt recovered And trust me there are some VERY high areas there . At the end of the 8 level I mined a small stope that had assays of 200 to 1000 grams to the tonne.
