On page 10 of the investor presentation, the company talked about increasing its level of debt with CBA and Westpac to fund the special dividend.
Excuse the ignorance, and am hoping someone can enlighten me. But wouldn’t it have been better to get deeper into a net cash position then pay out rather than incurring more debt to pay out now?
They also talked about getting their gearing levels to around 1.0x net debt to EBITDA.
