Market rejects consensus beating Jumbo resultTim BoydReporterAug 16, 2019 — 3.50pmSaveShareJumbo reported a 64 per cent increase in revenue in the 2019 financial year compared to the previous year, to $65 million and a 124 per cent increase in net profit after tax, to $26.4 million.Online lottery business Jumbo Interactive reported its results on Friday. SuppliedJumbo added over 400,000 accounts to its online lottery business in the 2019 financial year, a 107 per cent increase on the previous fiscal year. This took their total number of active customers to over 750,000.Despite this, the market sent Jumbo's share price tumbling. It fell 15.4 per cent to $17.11. The stock has rocketed up over 400 per cent in the past two years.Chief executive Mike Veverka said he wasn't sure what to make of the share price response, labelling it a "strange reaction".
