    Well let’s wait and see. Oak Dam and maybe even Sol Gold? If these turn out, then that’s where capital will be deployed. Note they are still trialing OD expansions, maybe that’ll bring some fruit via better technologies.

    Lastly, forgot to mention. Demergers are good for political reasons too. Not just green warrior protestors, but the perception of profits. The angry masses come running with pitchforks for higher taxation when you report large headline figures. Even though headline profits are technically meaningless and really it’s ROE. Lest we forget bank transactions tax (a Turnbull dud legacy). A labor government (hopefully never in power again) would also use large headline profits for further tax too, even though no one taxed their way to prosperity in globalisation. Demerging entities gets around this.
