Could someone be good enough to explain why 'Foreign currency translation differences' has risen 1830% this year from $111,406 (Dec19) to $2,038,341 (Dec20)? This I could accept if our market was in the USA and the exchange rate. I have not found an explanation in the report. Maybe someone has an explanation and could direct me to it.
My interest is in the resultant gap between the income to owners of the company and the profit to owners of the company. A stark difference this year compared to last year.
My position on the learning curve of investing (still sometimes financially painful) would have me pay attention to the 'bottom line' being the income to owners or 'Total comprehensive income for the year'.
Any contributions to my enlightenment would be appreciated.
Enjoy your weekend.
