Thanks caredes, having looked through a bunch of them last night it's clear they're also patenting designs for consumer products based on AKP's tech, and all the capabilities it brings. Some of note that those familiar with the tech would already be aware of were designs for surround sound from a single sound source, automated (via wirelessly detecting desired direction) and/or human controlled directional functionality, and the use of a thin slit around the outside of screens to transmit sound.

So they may be looking at producing consumer level products as well.
