the way i see it, for all intents and purposes, the liberal party is dead. they are irrelevant now, and will further rot on the vine of aussie politics.
are there any lib supporters who really believe that labor are doing a horrible job and deserve to be thrown out?
its obviously early days, but the changes being made by labor will bear heavy fruit in the future, and cement them in power.
real challenges for any govt everywhere, finance, food, tensions etc, and if the voters can see the big picture, and recognise cause and effect, its hard to see rudd falling over.
i can see the greens becoming the true voice of opposition down the track. brown will get replaced by a more moderate and mainstream polly, and increase their influence.
the biggest threat to fed labor is corruption, ala nsw govt, but rudds personality should keep a lid on things.
how long did menzies rule? that record may be broken.

the libs will remain on the periphery but in the news only to give the media some material, keep them busy. after all, its a car crash senario- slow down and watch in fascination. their burial will come in about 3 years, to be attended only by relatives, a few friends, and the MD of razor wire's r us.
