so they are saying that the original technology no longer has any ability to generate revenue, and it is therefore needing to be written off as the "asset" is worth nothing.
Unfortunately ...
it appears that the NEW technology (in the opinion of the company) has no ability to generate any future revenue either.
No wonder Fred is now charging the 12% interest - it looks like it is the only money that this company will ever generate for him. He has a lot to recover.
