There is such ‘corporate pride’ in their history of paying ever increasing dividends I fear they’d borrow to keep it going !
After an initial 1% gain the market appears to have given the result a thumbs down.I guess this has to be seen in the context of the rise from $24 to $27. It met previous guidance and forward guidance was reasonable without exciting the market. It needed to do a little more it seems to hold this 16% gain off the bottom.Will continue to hold at this point in the hope that the promised synergies (from recent acquisitions)and overall cost controls deliver steady growth from here…..but it’s been an underwhelming ride this year.
