I think you are right here but I am glad they DO declare that VOIP is over the internet. People need to know.
If your house power, router, LAN or the server goes down you lose your phone.
I have two ENG lines, one for my home business, but I still have to have a PSTN line (at $30 a flamin' month!) to guarantee uninterrupted service to my clients.
Also despite everything I hear elsewhere and three service calls to ENG I cannot use VOIP for FAX.
