Managers and above have to go through a two week stint to do all the checks before they can go invest in companies. Senior accountants and accountants need to check a portal to see if there will be independence breaches with any kind of services my firm may provide. Whether it would be tax, advisory or audits. Every year I have to sign declarations of independence for each individual company I provide services for, and once a year a total independence check. It's quite extensive since and thoroughly review by managers and partners. This is why I put my disclaimer in my posts so that I remain professional to my work.
